Add and Organize Files

Last updated on 12 Nov 2025

When you open your case, you will see a Files page. Case files are displayed in the file area on the left-hand side of the page.

You can:

Add Files

There are two ways to add files to the case:

  • Drag and drop files or folders from your device into the file area
  • Click Add File at the bottom of the file area to select files or folders from your device.

The files are added to the case and displayed in the file area.

NOTES:

  • When files are uploaded to the app, the OCR’d PDF files are indexed for search functionality. If a PDF file is a scanned file that has not been OCR’d, then it will not be indexed.
  • Built-in OCR is a future feature.

The files are also added to the case folder on your local drive in the casefiles folder.

Edit Mode

You can put the file area in edit mode so that you can remove files from the case, move files, and edit folder properties.

Click Edit at the bottom of the file area.

The file area is put in edit mode. Selection boxes are available for the files and folders, and edit tools (Move to and Delete) are available. Click Edit again to get out of edit mode.
