Professional Journey
After completing his studies as a Registered Auditor, Per Øystein began his career at a local audit firm, building a foundation in auditing, compliance, and financial reporting. As personal computers and dedicated accounting programs became more widespread, he transitioned into the IT and software sector, taking responsibility for a portfolio of financial systems and working as a consultant, project manager, and instructor — while simultaneously running his own audit practice.
Following the successful delivery of a particularly complex financial system implementation, he was invited to join the client company to oversee and further develop the solution internally. That implementation was later nominated for the Norwegian Computer Society’s national award for best practical use of information technology, recognizing excellence in real world IT projects. Per Øystein went on to become the company’s Finance and Administration Manager.
In recent years, he has operated his own practice as an Authorized Accountant, holding financial responsibility for several companies and providing ongoing advice on accounting, reporting, and financial management.
