About
With a master’s degree in informatics from the University of Oslo and two decades as a professional developer, Tor Øyvind Fluør works across the entire product stack, from high level architecture and UX to hands on implementation of frontend and backend solutions. Since 2006 he has built software for companies in Oslo and his hometown of Arendal, spanning everything from hotel TV systems and drone visualization to IoT devices and modern legal tech.
Expertise
End-to-end product architecture – Tor designs system architectures, data flows and integration points, then follows them all the way through to running code. He is used to thinking about performance, reliability and long-term maintainability at the same time as product goals and timelines.
UX and interface design – Starting from user journeys and concrete workflows, Tor shapes interfaces that feel intuitive in real life, not just in wireframes. He has a particular focus on visual structure and interaction patterns that help users stay oriented in complex information.
Cross platform and native engineering – A hands on technologist, Tor implements both frontend and backend features himself, working with technologies such as Swift, C#, C, C++, Perl and Python. His background includes native client development, server-side systems and integrations to third party platforms.
Product leadership and collaboration – As CEO and founder of Case Crafter AS, Tor combines product strategy with day to day technical work. He is used to collaborating directly with domain experts — from teachers and lawyers to designers and writers — to translate real world needs into concrete features.
Professional Journey
Tor’s path into product development began long before his degree; what started as a hobby in his teens became a career after he completed his master’s in informatics in 2006 and started working as a developer for companies in Oslo and Arendal.
Over the years he has delivered a wide range of native front end and system level projects, including TV systems for hotel rooms, visualization systems for drones and software for IoT units — experience that has given him a practical feel for constraints, edge cases and how people actually use technology in the field.
In recent years he has focused entirely on legal technology as founder and CEO of Case Crafter AS, where he is lead product architect and developer for the trial presentation and legal timeline software on both Windows, Mac and iPad.
