Edit Fact

To edit a fact, click on the fact to open it. To close the fact, click Back.

Fact Properties

To edit the properties of the fact, like title, date, and tag, click on Properties in the left side of the header. The Edit Fact window is opened.

Edit the properties as required and click Save.

To delete a fact click Delete. You will be asked to confirm the action. This will delete the fact from the case.

Tags: Tags are optional. They are used to help filter facts on the timeline. If there are existing tags, you can select a tag. You can select multiple tags. NOTE: On a Mac you will need to use the Option key to select multiple tags. 

Or you can create a new tag by clicking Add new tag. The New Tag window is opened.

Enter a title for the tag and choose a color for the tag.

The tag is required to be assigned to a group. Select a group from the Group dropdown or select Create New to create a new tag group.

The New Tag Group window is opened.

Enter a title for the group and click Save.

Click Save on the New Tag window.

Files

NOTE: File properties cannot be edited here. You can edit file properties within the file itself. See File Properties under Other File Tools.

Any files that have been added to the fact are presented in tabs. You can click on a tab to view the file. You have file review tools and limited other file tools available for each file. See File Review Tools and Other File Tools.

Add File

Add other files to the fact by clicking Add File in the right side of the header. Select a file and click Add.

Remove File

You can remove a file from the fact by clicking the ellipses (three dots) next to the file name and selecting Remove. You will be asked to verify the action. NOTE: This does not remove the file from the case, it just removes the file from the fact.

Rename File

You can rename a file by clicking the ellipses (three dots) next to the file name and selecting Rename. The Rename file window is displayed. Enter a new name and click Save. NOTE: This will rename the file at the case level.

Set Start Page

When the file is opened within the fact, the file will open to the first page by default. 

You can set the start page for a file by clicking the ellipses (three dots) next to the file name and selecting Set start page. The Set file start page window is opened. Select the page number that you want the file to start on when the fact is opened and click Save. The next time the fact is opened, the file will be opened to the selected start page.
